General Information
Professor Fok Tai-fai obtained his MBBS from The University of Hong Kong in 1975 and his MD from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997. A paediatrician by training, his research interests include newborn care, especially the prevention and management of respiratory conditions, newborn infection, newborn growth, and medical education. Professor Fok is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of medical professionals. He joined CUHK in 1984 and was formerly Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Department of Paediatrics. He was appointed Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University in 2013. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Royal College of Physicians of London, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Paediatrics) and Hong Kong College of Paediatricians. He has also been elected as an Honorary Life Member of the Hong Kong Paediatric Society.
